Upper Crust is a chain of sandwich shops that are mostly located around railway stations - they serve mainly filled baguettes. The quality of the food is great, but it is slightly overpriced, until you get a free bite card which gives a 20% discount! Their baguettes are fresh and tasty, and are perfect to munch over on a long train journey. My favourite is the BLT washed down with a fresh hot chocolate. I would definitely eat here again and I would recommend others to buy a baguette here as well if they can afford it! P.S their cookies are delish!

Very well placed sandwich shop, it's located right next to the turnstiles in Reading Rail Station. Several pre-assembled sandwiches are ready to go, or if you have a moment, they will pop one into the press. Chicken, Ham & Cheese, Pepperoni and veggie options are availble, as well as some pastries and hot and cold drinks.
According to the marketing, sandwiches at Upper Crust have a three hour "life" on them. I can confirm that mine was marked with a time stamp.
My Chicken and Bacon was quite fresh and after spending a few minutes in the pressini was absolutely decicious! When I need a quick sandwich for the train, Upper Crust is a great choice.
